Abstract
AbstractEconomy of computing the gravitational potential for quasihydrostatic and hydrodynamical models, respectively, (axisymmetric mass distribution in spherical coordinates) suggests the application of the successive overrelaxation method in spherical coordinates, because a good approximation of potential from a previous cycle leads to the wanted solution by means of only few iterations.
