Abstract

A simple, modified, flow-injection procedure for the determination of creatinine in urine and deproteinized serum using the Jaffe reaction is described. The method is suitable for the flow-injection analysis of creatinine at a rate of up to 120 samples per hour with a coefficient of variation of better than 2.9%. The baseline drift is eliminated by the addition of 20% methanol to the picric acid solution.
