Abstract

The Stabilized Temperature Platform Furnace technique with Zeeman background correction was used for the determination of As, Se, Cr, Co and Ni in five Geochemicai Exploration Reference (GXR) samples from the U.S. Geological Survey. After dissolving the samples in a mixture of acids, aqueous calibration curves were used. The method of additions was not necessary. The results are in good agreement with recommended values and recoveries of added analyte were close to 100%. The method proved to be simple and accurate.
