Abstract
Ten samples from malignant solid tumors including lymphosarcoma, neuroblastoma, Wilms' tumor in children were examined. It was found that MTT colorimetric assay would be a simple, rapid and reliable method for anticancer. drug sensitivity in children with malignant solid tumor. VP_(16), MMC and CAR are the three most sensitive anticancer drugs for certain sarcomas and malignant embryonic tumors. The optimal concentration of tumor cells, the optimal incubation time for the action of anticancer drugs on tumor cells and the concentration of anticancer durgs are discussed. Routine determination of anticancer drug sensitivity before the selection of anticancer drug for children with malignant solid tumor would be preferable.
