Abstract
Summary The proposed bioassay is a modification of the Klepper method. It allows the semiquantitative determination of photosynthetic inhibitor herbicides after 3 hrs. The limit of sensibility with cucumber leaf discs, varies from 0,05 to 0,2 μ g for propanil and the triazine, diazine and urea herbicides. Some carbamate and phenol herbicides give a positive reaction at 1 μ g. Bromophenoxime and the dinitroaniline, bipyridylium and nitrile herbicides are without effect at the same concentration.
