Abstract

Objective To investigate the changes of neonatal coagulation function and its clinical significance. Methods Fifty normal newborns and 324 neonate with intestinal atresia or other congenital malformations were chosen, and newborns prothrombin time(PT),active partial thromboplastin time (APTT),thrombin time(TT) and fibrinogen(FIB) content were measured respectively, then the coagulation four indices were compared with 50 cases of randomly selected normal adult. Results The values of PT,APTT,TT and FIB had no statistical differences between neonatal congenital diseases group and normal newborn group (P > 0.05).The levels of PT and APTT in congenital disease group were significantly higher than those in normal adult control group (P < 0.05) ; But FIB level was significantly lower than that in normal adult control group (P < 0.05).The clinical reference ranges of neonatal blood coagulation function indexes were:PT:12.28-14.57 s,APTT:30.31-47.05 s,and TT:13.80-20.94 s,FIB:1.61-3.07 g/L.Conclusions The neonatal blood coagulation function is in a state of low level.Establish ment of the newborn normal coagulation function reference range to test the function of blood coagulation can early intervene and guide the neonatal surgical treatment.
