Abstract

New detection method of pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) and PQQ-adducts has been developed by isotachophoresis using a UV and a potential gradient detectors. The detection limits of free PQQ and PQQ-acetone adduct were about 0.1μM in the sample injection of 10μl. Isotachophoretic behavior of the reaction products of free PQQ with nucleophilic agents such as alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, amino acids, phenyihydrazines etc. was investigated.
