Abstract

Bubble defect is a common defect of glass insulator, which needs to be detected and removed before putting into operation. In this paper, two kinds of defect detection methods base on uniform light and laser are studied, the characteristics of the two methods are compared and analyzed. Combine its advantages, a set of bubble defect detection scheme using uniform light source rapid screening and laser light source accurate verification is determined, and the defect detection system is designed. The system’s physical verification shows that the system can quickly and effectively complete the identification and location of bubble defects in glass insulators, has high accuracy and anti-interference ability, can meet the needs of automated detection, and has certain application value.
