Abstract

Several nuclear reactions have been applied to detect impurities in condensed matter matrices. The content of oxygen and carbon in silicon has been determined with charged particle activation analysis. The hydrogen content and its profiles in carbon foils has been measured using the 15N resonance reaction. A new method for applying nuclear reaction analysis to measure sputter yields will be discussed.
