Abstract
Abstract Accurate measurements near the threshold for the Optical Fréedericksz Transition were made using a heterodyne interferometer-polárimeter. Evidence of multistability and Optical Phase Locking to odd multiple of π was obtained. A physical explanation of these phenomena based on total angular momentum conservation was also proposed.
