Abstract

In this paper, we studied the destruction features and the bending strength properties of ice composite materials reinforced with basalt fiber. Reinforcement is shown to improve significantly the strength and deformation characteristics of composites compared to unreinforced ice and change the nature of destruction. The staged nature of the destruction process under bending loading is described and finite element modeling of the samples with the determination of their stress-strain state is performed.
