Abstract

In this paper, an UWB antenna with triple band-stop characteristics is demonstrated. A circular monopole antenna fed with the Co-Planner Waveguide (CPW) and comprises with symmetrical inverted L-slot on radiating patch, a pair of slit on the ground plane and a split ring resonator (SRR) is used to produce triple band-stop functions. The antenna shows the triple-band notch at WiMAX, WLAN, and X-band (uplink/downlink). The antenna has a size of 46 × 36 ×1.6 mm 3 and provides a good impedance matching over the entire bandwidth of 3 to 11 GHz with VSWR less than 2 except the notched bands. The proposed antenna is fabricated on the FR4 substrate and its parametric results are presented. The comparison of measured and simulated VSWR results has satisfactory agreement between them.
