Abstract

The WC p particulate reinforced Cu matrix composite has been designed and fabricated via spontaneous infiltration technique for the course experiment of Metal Matrix Composite. The influence of main processing parameters, including infiltration method as well as temperature on the microstructures, phase compositions and the hardness is investigated. The results show that both the fraction of WC and the hardness show a gradual decline with the increasing of infiltration temperature.
