Abstract

AbstractOver the past few years, the IFSW has strengthened its activities in the development of hollow‐core fibers for the delivery of high‐brightness beams from ultrafast lasers. The full chain from design to fabrication and characterization is covered. The first promising results were achieved with the production of a single‐mode fiber that exhibits low losses. This fiber is therefore very suitable for the delivery of high‐brightness laser beams emitted from common high‐power solid‐state lasers.
