Abstract

Drug delivery system has became a research hotspot due to its excellent targeting ability and drug-controlled releases. Herein, a hierarchically flower-like hollow COF (HFH-COF) is synthesized via a simple one-step reaction method at room temperature. The as-prepared HFH-COF has high specific surface area, uniform pore size and pH sensitivity. Based on drug loading experiments using Adriamycin (DOX) as a model molecule, HFH-COF exhibits high drug loading capabilities. The drug release curves under different pH conditions show that HFH-COF is pH sensitive. In vitro cell experiments further confirmed that HFH-COF has good biocompatibility. DOX can be effectively released from HFH-COF to kill tumor cells. The as-prepared HFH-COF drug-loading system has exceptional drug loading ability, excellent biocompatibility, pH sensitivity of the tumor microenvironment, as well as good the potential application prospects in tumor treatment. Overall, a new COF-based drug delivery systems have been developed, and COFs are expanding the field of drug carriers as well.
