Abstract

A W band three-section folded waveguide Traveling Wave Tube was designed and optimized by CST simulation. The design results showed nearly 200 watts output power without self-oscillation. Comparing with two-section folded waveguide, three-section folded waveguide slow wave structure can obtain higher and more stable output power even without BeO attenuation in it. So three-section folded waveguide slow wave circuit is a promising choice in sub-millimeter and THz traveling wave tube.
