Abstract

5G communication system requires a low profile, lightweight, high Gain, and simple structure Antenna to ensure reliability, mobility and high efficiency, a novel shape low profile High gain and high efficiency patch antenna for 28 GHz 5G wireless communication is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna is designed on a compact Rogers Substrate Rt-5880 with overall dimensions of $25\times 19\times 0.5$ mm with relative permittivity $\varepsilon \mathrm{r}$ of 2.2 and loss tangent $\delta$ value, 0.0009. the proposed design provides a high gain of 7.88 dBi at 28 GHz without employing any complex gain achievement techniques like EBG, CRR and SRR, coupled Split ring and metamaterial plates and is more than 92% efficient. Impedance bandwidth of the proposed Antenna ranges from 27.673-28.118GHz. where $\vert \mathrm{S}11\vert \leq-10 \text{dB}$ . the Simulated results of radiation patterns are directional. multi-beam directional radiation pattern is one of the distinct features of the proposed Antenna. a very high gain Ultra-wideband can be obtained by aligning linear and planner array. The proposed antenna is designed and optimized using commercial 3D full-wave software, viz. CST microwave studio 2018. having good gain advocates ease in feasibility of this Antenna for 5G MIMIO Applications due to the simple design structure, ease in fabrication and low cost the proposed design is considered as an excellent choice for 5G mm Wave communication.
