Abstract
A triple band, planar antenna using composite right/left-handed (CRLH)metamaterial (MTM) is presented in this paper. Proposed antenna produces zeroth order resonance (ZOR) at 1.04 GHz. Composite MTM behavior is obtained from series gap taken in patch, meander line inductor, complementary slot rings, rectangular stub and patch of the microstrip antenna. It derives its multiband characteristics from complementary slot ring. The proposed structure shows positive gainand good radiation characteristics throughout band. The proposed antenna has been analyzed and validated using HFSS full wave simulator. Prototype is fabricated and measured to verify the simulation result.
