Abstract

This paper presents the methodical approach to the mathematical modelling of the low-order heat exchangers. A short survey of state of the art in modelling of heat exchanger is given. Nonlinear models of the dynamics of flow and heat processes in both elementary volume and total volume, in the explicit form of the mass flow, unit energy and pressure, have been derived. This approach is applied in the development of the low-order nonlinear model of primar-to-secondar cross-flow heat exchanger, based on the total volume of primar, transfer and seconder. Following the ideas of the external linearization, a nonlinear feedback of the control model of flow and heat processes has been considered. Simulation of the dynamics of water-to-air cross-flow heat exchanger, with an optimal feedback, is given. Finally, a comparison with conventional control has been discussed.
