Abstract
We designed an analog single-electron (SE) information-processing circuit that mimics the behavior of a fish shoal. Although SE circuits are functional, there is not yet an optimum information-processing method established for them. To tackle this issue, we take inspiration from the behavior of fish shoals, where each fish determines its behavior by interacting with other fish, as in a multi-agent system. We demonstrated our SE circuit to effectively mimic one of the three rules of the Boids algorithm regarding fish shoal behavior through computer simulation. We believe our approach is a strong candidate for SE circuits having optimum information processing.
