Abstract

This paper proposes a high-precision angle measurement scheme based on multi-turn absolute encoder. The solution adopts a double-piece anti-backlash pinion gear set to directly mesh with the transmission large gear. The multi-turn absolute encoder is mounted on the pinion shaft. The angular accuracy is improved by using the speed increase. In order to meet the requirements of system debugging and fault isolation. The angle measuring system also includes angle simulation function. The software and hardware implementation methods of the angle measuring system are introduced in detail, and the error sources that affect the system accuracy are analyzed. The angle measurement scheme is verified to achieve angle measurement accuracy within 10″, and the angle update period is greater than 10 kHz. The scheme is simple and reliable in structure, low in cost, convenient in installation and maintenance, and is particularly suitable for high-precision angle measurement of large turntables.
