Abstract
In this paper, an electromagnetic design of the 3- phase high speed switched reluctance motor (SRM) with rated speed 100.000 rpm and output power 8 kW is presented. The paper starts with the state of the art from the point of view of electrical machines high-speed utilization. The design of the machine dimensions and material selection are described. The static analysis of the SRM parameters is carried out by means of FEM. The mathematical model of SRM is described and used for dynamic simulation. Dynamic simulation is used to investigate steady state at 100.000 rpm. From the results of dynamic simulation, losses and efficiency are calculated. The mechanical analysis of the machine is presented.
