Abstract

Miniaturization dual-frequency patch antenna play a very important part in the field of GNSS, and the dual-patch dual-frequency patch antennas with high dielectric constant substrate had the limitation of low isolation which result in mutual coupling between frequencies so that the gain at zenith, pattern and radiation efficiency got bad. In this paper, we put forward a new design of Hole contacting Ground (HCG) to isolate the coax-feed pin belonging to different patch, analysed the influence of HCG on isolation and designed and simulated a dual-patch dual-frequency antenna to prove that the HCG is effective to improve the isolation of patch antenna.
