Abstract
Design of Fractional order digital differentiators and integrators using a combination of higher order s to z transforms and model order reduction techniques is the main objective of the paper. Direct and Indirect discretization of the s to z transform is the commonly used technique for the design of Fractional order differentiators and Integrators. In this paper, second and third order s to z transforms are reduced to first order one by using model order reduction techniques. These novel transforms are used for the discretization. The designed filter coefficients are tabulated. All simulations are carried out using MATLAB.
