Abstract

This paper is focused on the design and implementation of energy efficient hybrid logic full adders having low voltage and high performance using 90nm CMOS technology. XOR–XNOR circuits form the basic module in full adders and the performance of XOR-XNOR circuits has a large impact on the area, power and delay of the full adders Hence, new designs of XOR-XNOR circuits that consume less power and provide high speed with full swing outputs are proposed, designed and implemented in 90nm CMOS technology using Cadence tool. These proposed XOR/XNOR circuits along with sum and carry modules are used to design eight different energy efficient hybrid logic full adders. The full adders are also simulated using Cadence tool and their performance parameters are evaluated and compared.
