Abstract

A novel design of fragment-type etch patterns on ultra-wideband antenna with sharp roll-off band notches is proposed. Optimization searching of high-performance band notch evaluated by roll-off criterion (ROC) is implemented by using multi-objective optimization searching algorithm. To reduce the computation cost, proper slits are preset, and the searching efficiency is improved greatly. For demonstration, dual band notches of ROC=0.63 at the WiMAX band and ROC=0.65 at the WLAN band has been achieved by adopting two slits.
