Abstract

In this paper, a double L-slot microstrip patch antenna array using Coplanar waveguide feed for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) frequency bands are presented. The proposed antenna is fabricated on Aluminum Nitride Ceramic substrate with dielectric constant 8.8 and thickness of 1.5mm. The key feature of this substrate is that it can withstand in high temperature. The return loss is about -31dB at the operating frequency of 3.6GHz with 50Ω input impedance. The basic parameters of the proposed antenna such as return loss, VSWR, and radiation pattern are simulated using Ansoft HFSS. Simulation results of antenna parameters of single patch and double patch antenna array are analyzed and presented.
