Abstract

The dual-band notched printed circular monopole antenna for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications offered in this article. The interference of the WiMAX and C-bands has been controlled by this antenna. Two L-shaped symmetric slots of the quarter wavelength each have been introduced to filter out WiMAX (3.3 to 3.6 GHz) and (3.6 to 4.2 GHz) for the C-band. The ANSYS Electronics Desktop V 19 has been used to simulate the said antenna using FR-4 glass epoxy dielectric material with and ∈ r =4.4, tan∂ = 0.02 and height h=1.6 mm. The ninety-two percent radiation efficiency has been noted for the said antenna. The performance of the suggested antenna is satisfactory and the obtained outcomes are in the UWB region with two rejected bands.
