Abstract
With the development of wireless communication technology, the research process of RF power amplifier (RFPA) is promoted greatly. This paper presents the design and measurements of a broadband LDMOS RF power amplifier. The power amplifier adopts Source-Pull and Load-Pull to design the input and output matching circuits. And ADS is used to optimize and simulate the circuits. The frequency of the power amplifier is 945MHz, the measured output power is 45 W and efficiency is 42% with 1 W input power. Moreover, the maximum power added efficiency (PAE) is about 57% and the gain compression is 0.73dB.
