Abstract
A simple strategy is presented for the design of broadband microstrip series arrays at millimetric wavelengths. The array performance is enhanced systematically by cascading several microstrip patch elements in a series configuration and terminated in a matched load. Experimental and computed full-wave results indicate good agreement, showing that a bandwidth in excess of 11% is achievable.
