Abstract

Fire accidents these days are becoming an alarming issue resulting in numerous deaths globally. In spite of having a robust system to put off the fire from spreading quickly, very less progress has been made in technology to rescue trapped people with only human efforts still taking place to rescue. While carrying out these manual rescue operations one major factor which hinders is the smoke, produced as a result of the fire, which greatly reduces the visibility thus making this task very risky. To address this issue, we have devised a negative ion generator, the anion (negative ion) generator is capable of removing a smoke and dirt particles from the air thereby increasing the visibility. This article presents a prototype where a fire extinguishing robot equipped with negative ion generator and can be deployed at an incident site.
