Abstract
The purpose of the research was to present a proposal for the design of a service-learning model for citizenship training in the area of Personal Development and Citizenship. The research methodology is basic, descriptive, non-experimental design, transversal, and propositional. The survey technique was used with a 35-question questionnaire instrument. We worked with a population of 144 students. The results obtained show that 61% of the students have knowledge of the use of service-learning at the middle level and 60% at the intermediate level for the citizenship training variable. To overcome this problem, a series of strategies have been proposed. It was concluded that the proposal of the model will allow to empower and stimulate the participation of school adolescents by integrating experiential learning and curricular content.
