Abstract
A novel E-plane T-junction waveguide power combiner for millimeter-wave frequency band is presented in this paper. In order to improve the port isolation of the combiner, a resistive card is placed in the middle H-plane of the T-junction. The combiner has advantages of high isolation, wide band and good repeatability. By HFSS, the combiner is simulated at Ka-band. A optimized combiner is fabricated and measured. The measured results show that the insertion loss is less than 3.25dB, the return loss is better than 18.0dB and the isolation is better than 18.0dB in 33–40GHz. The measured results are basically the same as the simulated results.
