Abstract
In this paper, a new 16-way millimeter wave power combiner based on spatial power-combining technique is proposed and designed. The resistive film is placed in the branch of the combiner to improve the port isolation. The structure has advantages of easy fabrication, high isolation, low loss and a wide operation band of 33%. The structure is simulated and optimized at V band by using HFSS. The combiner has demonstrated operation over a broadband of 50 GHz to 75 GHz with more than 12 dB return loss and less than 6.5 dB insertion loss. The simulated results illustrate very good match to the theoretical analysis.
