Design of a Magnetic Memory Detecting Sensor for Oil Well Casing Well Damage

Abstract

Oil production well casing which subjected to effect of multiple working conditions coupling will produce different degrees of stress concentration during the long-term use process. This type of stress concentration can resulting in casing damage accident very easily, causing huge economic losses. As the advantage of the metal magnetic memory detection technology in metal damage testing, a new type of magnetic memory sensor which has high sensitivity and good temperature resistance is developed, then seal and insulate it. The testing in laboratory and field detection proved that this type of sensor has great temperature-pressure resistance and sealed property, it also makes the detecting different form of the casing deficiency with high sensitivity and can pro-vides theory basis for casing life prediction and safety evaluation.
