Abstract

To meet the small size, low power consumption, low cost and increasingly high speed and precision requirements of the navigation system, an embedded navigation computer system based on dual DSPs was designed. The system consists of a TMS320C6713B DSP and a TMS320F2812 DSP of TI Inc. as dual-core. The C6713B is used to process the navigation computation and data rapid fusion task, while the F2812 performs in the role of a control center to complete the control tasks. And a dual port RAM is used to achieve double-DSP communication. The system use a CPLD to generate the synchronization signals, count the pulses generated by the gyros and the V/F conversion circuit, sample other digital input signal and decode control signal. In field experiments results show that the system can completely fulfill the computational speed and precision requirement of the navigation system.
