Abstract

AbstractAt present, intelligent robot technology is widely used in all aspects of people’s production and life. Using intelligent robots instead of manual to realize automatic sorting is an essential direction of future development. Color sorting robot is an important research object in the field of sorting robot. Based on the introduction of the theory of three primary colors, this paper analyzes the color recognition principle of the TCS3200 color sensor of TAOS company. It expounds on the necessity of white balance. A color block sorting robot is designed with an ATmega16 single-chip microcomputer as the brain, color sensor and gray sensor as the sense organ of the robot, and steering gear as the robot’s moving parts. It can realize the functions of recognition, sorting, and handling of different color blocks. In color recognition, the strategy of multiple detections and high probability results is adopted, which significantly improves the accuracy of detection.
