Abstract
A novel dual band compact complementary antenna array has been presented. Firstly., a solo band antenna array has been proposed. After some modification on single band antenna array a dual band antenna array is being presented. Presented antenna comprises 3 circular fashioned patches on the upper side where as 2 circular patches on the ground side. A conical thru is used to connect upper patches with the lower patches for producing an omnidirectional pattern with high efficiency and low reflection. This dual band antenna array operates at WIMAX (3-3.9) GHz and WLAN (4.8-5.9) GHz., having gain 3.9dBi., and 4.3dBi respectively. Simulated result shows that the presented antenna offers better impedance matching, large bandwidth and improved gain.
