Abstract
The fuel cell (FC) is a clean energy source. It’s used in several products, such as electric vehicles. The FC is an unregulated source, hence the need of the DC-DC Boost converter implementation, to interface the FC with the load, in order to regulate the FC output voltage. This article proposes a model of the FC with a DC-DC boost converter, using Proteus Spice Ver 8.13 software platform. The FC model is based on an equivalent electrical circuit which has been experimentally validated using the BAHIA bench of HELION/AREVA. The DCDC boost converter is controlled by an algorithm embedded in the STM32 microcontroller with the aim of regulating the output voltage.
