Abstract

The conveyor belt perforation process causes a lot of technical issues to the worldwide manufacturers due to the improved mechanical properties adjusted to the specific applications. For that reason, the need for designing the universal automatic device for polymer multilayer composite belt perforation. In this paper the design issues related to such machine are presented based on the project, which was build and is used in the industry. Presented information can be very helpful to improve the design process of similar machines. Additionally, the proposed solutions are innovative in terms of both design and control. Developed design is characterized with module construction, which is consistent with popular today module design theory and practice. The advantage of such approach is ease of adaptation to specific requirements. In this paper the application of the modelling in the mechatronic design was also highlighted.
