Abstract

Personnel positioning network system, corresponding to the specification of ZigBee, is designed to meet the requirements of positioning for underground wireless close-range personnel. The author briefly introduces the ZigBee and its characteristics, analyzes the ZigBee Wireless Application Protocol and adopts the chip CC2430 and chip CC2431 with positioning engine. On that basis, the author researches and designs the hardware of the positioning system for personnel and develops the software of wireless communication application program to realize the precise positioning for underground mine personnel. It is available to provide abundant data and graphical information. It is also able to monitor the real-time underground mine personnel and work out the number of them and their distribution. It is characterized as low cost, easiness to set up and use.
