Abstract

Operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is used in active filters and other various devices which requires to be low power consumption with high gain, so for the purpose of which a FinFET based OTA is proposed. The main characteristics of the proposed FinFET based OTA such as gain, power consumption, unity gain frequency(UGF), Slew Rate and CMRR (common-mode rejection ratio) were calculated and compared with a conventional CMOS two-stage OTA. The proposed OTA enhances the performance by improving the different parameter like DC gain by 16.66%, PM by 12.9%, CMRR by 26.78% and slew rate by 166.66%. It reduces the power dissipation by 79.04% and delay by 71.95%.
