Abstract

Regenerative braking is the one of the most advantageous method for storing charging energy. Regenerative braking stores the kinetic energy of the vehicle in a battery at the time of vehicle acceleration and deceleration. Regenerative braking system provides a usage of battery in longer time, but it had limited absorbed capacity. In the previous model, the brushes induction motor is used in the regenerative braking. It is difficult to control the speed and storage losses due to the use of induction motor. The overall cost is also quite high in using induction motor. It can be improved by using the BLDC motor with bidirectional converter. It increases the charging capacity of E vehicle and also improves the fuel efficiency of E vehicle. This paper implemented the both software and hardware model of regenerative braking with BLDC motor and Bidirectional converter in E vehicle.
