Abstract
The need for renewable energy sources is increasing because of a four-fold rise in energy demand due to the rise in the population and industrialization. The abundant nature of renewable sources has opened the doors to meet energy demands. The photovoltaic systems are showing a great impact on renewable energy penetration. Better design and performance evaluation in conjunction with certain power prediction techniques are required to use the PV power plants with greater efficiency. In this work, we have designed a 1MW ground-mounted and grid-interactive PV power plant in easy steps for better understanding by a normal person. Detailed estimates are made right from PV strings to the inverter. Past weather data from NASA is taken for estimation purposes. Performance analysis is done with PVsyst Software. PV Power prediction is done with BLSTM network. Finally, conclusions are drawn by mentioning the further use of artificial intelligence techniques in future works for more accuracy.
