Abstract

A technique or tool for lowering harmful exhaust emissions from internal combustion engines is an after-treatment module. In order to ensure that engines comply with pollution standards, it is a device that cleans exhaust gases. To comply with US pollution rules for 2007, diesel particle filters and an SCR catalyst were widely used on heavy-duty diesel engines. Some manufacturers first tried to comply with the 0.2 g/bhp-hr NOx restriction by using high EGR rates without NOx after-treatment, although there were discrepancies in the technical routes. Complete Class 2b and Class 3 trucks are increasingly being chassis certified for use in medium-duty vehicles. Particulate filters had to be added to Euro V engines equipped with SCR technology in order to comply with Euro VI emission requirements in Europe. A manufacturer provides on the engine and off the engine (Remote mounted) mounted after-treatment module. Engine packaging is critical when it comes to on the engine mount module. The main objective of this project is to design and optimize the bracket that is used to mount an after-treatment module onto the top of Engine. The Mounting Bracket is a critical component to the on engine mount after-treatment module because it attaches the entire module assembly safely and securely to engine top.
