Abstract

This paper designs a towered transient electromagnetic array detection system with multiple transmitters and multiple receivers. This system sensor consists of three single-component transmitting coil and nine three-component receiving coil array. The transmitting coils are optimized by establishing the relationship between the primary field strength and the parameters such as the size, number of turns, and turn-off time of the transmitting coils, and a side length, Cross-sectional area, number of turns, and transmitting current and turn-off time are 1 m, 2.5 mm2,25 turns, 10A, and 40us, respectively. The three-component receiving coils are optimized through segmented design. The final side length, number of segments, resonant frequency and turn-off time of the receiving coils are respectively 8cm, 8 segments, and 200 kHz. The data acquisition card USB6349 + Labview is used to realize the driving of the transmitter and the synchronous acquisition of multi-channel data. Field experiment has been carried out based on the above system, and the experimental results show that this system can accurately detect unexploded ordnance with a buried depth of 2.0m. The detection system designed in this paper fills the gap in domestic vehicle transient electromagnetic detection, and is of great significance to the rapid and precise positioning of the target.
