Abstract

Three-dimensional vector finite element method is applied to three-dimensional numerical modeling of underground tunnels.Full field apparent resistivity definition method is used to calculate the forward modeling.Apparent resistivity contour of underground tunnels provides comparison for the interpretation of the measured data. The ground-airborne transient electromagnetic detection system with electrical source based on an unmanned aerial vehicle was built. We have carried out a detection test at Yeshan in Liuhe District of Nanjing using the developed system.Through analyzing of processed experimental data, results matches numerical model well, which verifies the validity and accuracy of the detection system. The detection experiment results provide a new method for improving unmanned ground-airborne detection system. With the successful experiment of the developed ground-airborne detection system,it can be used as a new approach both in civilian areas and military areas.
