Abstract
A multi-level control method is proposed in this paper for the controller of hybrid DC circuit breaker in 10kV DC distribution network project, and a high-stability, low-cost DC circuit breaker controller prototype is also developed. Firstly, this paper builds the control circuit based on the control principle of hybrid DC circuit breaker, and analyzes the control requirements and implementation scheme of DC circuit breaker controller in detail. Then, the core control module with DSP and FPGAs is designed to divide the control of DC circuit breaker into three different control levels, and realize the fast detection and realtime control of DC circuit breaker, through the fiber optic module to ensure the accuracy and safety under the high-speed control of DC circuit breaker. Finally, the controller which is applied to the hybrid DC circuit breaker, is further verified and analyzed through performance tests. The test results show that the core response time and current cut-off time for the hybrid DC circuit breaker control can meet the project's requirements.
