Abstract
Video surveillance plays an important role in maintaining social stability and safeguarding personal safety, etc. Therefore, it is widely used in various fields and industries. The video surveillance system begins with the initial analog CCTV surveillance and evolves into digital and networked. However, users use their own independent video equipment management systems, which causes the Ministry of Public Security not be able to accurately grasp the distribution and operation of the cameras in the area in time, and thus cannot use these monitoring equipment effectively. This paper proposes a distributed video equipment monitoring and management system based on B/S architecture. It uses the plug-in technology to realize the unified interface of different manufacturers and types of video equipment, and uses the timing task cluster technology to monitor the running status of a large number of video devices. The application of this system will effectively solve the problem of unified management and monitoring of a large number of video monitoring equipment.
