Abstract

This paper designed a reconfigurable cipher SoC based on IP-reuse methodology. The cipher SoC integrates a reconfigurable cryptographic coprocessor which can flexibly handle most of the symmetry cryptography algorithms, public key cryptography algorithms and hash algorithms. According to the architecture of the cryptographic coprocessor, we designed a specialized coprocessor interface which can increase the throughput effectively. Meanwhile, the design also integrates a wealth of on-chip resources, which make the cryptographic coprocessor be able to adapt to the development needs of a variety of products. DC synthesis result shows that the cipher SoC we designed has high performance with moderate area.
